I called the FBI this morning! I felt so CSI-esque… even though I can’t even watch CSI anymore due to my irrational fears that the Boogyman is going to come and get me. But that is an entirely different issue for a different post. Anywaaaay, I decided that I would check in with the kind folks over there at the FBI to see how things were going with our clearance. About six weeks later, our fingerprints are finally being processed, and our clearance should arrive in another two to three weeks. The sweet lady who gave me this inside info told me not to quote her on the whole “two to three weeks” thing, and here I am publishing it on my blog for the world to see. I am such a traitor.
In other news, we had our last two documents notarized this afternoon!! This is huge for us. This indicates that the process is almost completely out of our hands. Hurry up FBI and CIS! Let’s get this show on the road!
And the most exciting thing I have to report is that there was a packed house for the first orphan care meeting at our church last night. Get this- 250 people showed up on a busy weeknight to hear about adoption and foster care!! Unbelievable! I know God is going to do huge things through this ministry, orphans are going to be given families, and lives are going to be changed forever. I’m so excited I can hardly breathe!
