Now, this post makes my inner nerd so very happy. A few days ago, we headed to the Museum of Life and Science, and Carson stumbled upon a little nook that we had yet to discover. The. bone. table. Of course he did. You may remember that this boy has been obsessed with anatomy and, more specifically bones, since he was teeny tiny. Y’all, my four year old asks valid questions about the chambers of the heart and has a favorite bone (uh, it’s the pelvis. don’t get me started.). I’m not saying this to brag, rather simply to express how bizarre this all is. (Though he gets it honestly. I was the middle schooler who chose to spend a week of my summer vacation in dissection camp with fetal pigs and human cadavers. Don’t judge.) Anyway, he spazed out excited over this table of various human and cow bones. And I will not tell a lie… I kinda enjoyed myself too.
Excuse the blurriness of this next picture, but as I was headed out, Carson started yelling, “MOMMY! Mommy! A sternum! Look! Take a picture of the sternum!” And he proceeded to place the thing exactly where it should go.
So, ya know, just a head’s up… if you’d like to get on my little future orthopedic surgeon’s schedule, he’ll be out of his residency in 2039. Good gosh…
