My blog would not feel right if it did not have a tribute to Lost which, as of last night, is a thing of the past. In my humble but accurate opinion, this has been one of the best shows ever written. Sure, there have been haters and skeptics, but I would challenge those misguided individuals to watch season one in its entirety. Then try to stop. You can’t. It sucks you in.

For years, we have wondered how this crazy show would end. For a while, I was convinced that the many religious undertones of the show meant that the grand reveal would be some hugely powerful evangelistic message. That certainly wasn’t the case, but it was still a moving (and long!) episode. I must admit, I did feel somewhat unsatisfied as the credits rolled, but after six years of smoke monsters, time travel, polar bears, and awesome characters, I doubt I could have ever been completely pleased with the ending.

Matt and I are now left with a void in our marriage. For our first five years of marriage, we have not missed an episode together. We need a new show- otherwise, we may just be forced to follow the lead of my parents and bond in front of Fox News or HGTV on a nightly basis.

Farewell, Lost. We have been confused as heck for six entire years, but you have been very good to us.
