Matt and his team made it back from South Africa on Monday morning- much to the relief of his pitiful wife (that would be me). As exhausted as he was that evening, I bombarded him with question after question, not wanting to miss a single detail of his adventures. I think it’s particularly amusing that he somehow managed to pick up a British accent in during his 11 short days there. Suffice it to say, a British accent just does not fit Matt Allison for some reason.
One thing he unfortunately failed to bring home was a memory card full of pictures. The boy flew halfway across the world to one of the most beautiful countries ever, and somehow he only managed to take a few pictures of animals on the safari. This is precisely why I should accompany him on his next trip. I asked Matt if he wanted to post about his experiences, and he politely declined, so I’ll sum it up for you as well as I can. In short, Matt preached his booty off, they loved on tons of precious African kids in their “Holiday Bible Clubs”, they all picked up strange accents, and they were all dead tired at the end of the day.
