Allow me to introduce you to Chai Samuel Atwood.
He was born yesterday, at 26 weeks, to a sweet family who attends our church. Keva and Trevor have been an encouragement to us throughout our adoption process thus far, as they have adopted two little guys themselves. In fact, Trevor preached this awesome sermon on adoption just last month.
Chai needs your prayers. He is battling infection, dipping oxygen levels, and everything else that goes along with coming into the world 14 weeks early. Pray for strength and healing of his little body. All two pounds six ounces of him.
Chai is Hebrew for “alive”. Trevor and Keva originally chose this name because of the life they have each found in Christ. As I thank God for my spiritual life in Him, I also ask you to join with me in praying for Him to preserve the physical life of this precious baby boy.
You can follow the Atwood’s blog here.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." – Romans 8:38-39
