I am prettttty sure this isn’t what Carson’s orthopedist had in mind when he ordered Carson to be “non weight-bearing”. In fact, he even claimed that they had casted Carson’s leg in such a way that it would be “nearly impossible” for him to walk. Clearly, he doesn’t know my son.

I sometimes think healthcare providers are the worst patients themselves, and apparently that’s rubbing off on my child. Though we might not be following doctor’s orders precisely, I’m hoping and praying that we’re given the green light to remove his cast next week as planned. We’ve been trying to get Carson used to the idea of someone taking a saw to his leg for the removal of his cast. His new Handy Manny saw is really coming in… well, handy… for this. Thank you, Santa!

  1. Watching this video made me decide this is Carson's theme song:
"Ain't nothing gonna break my stride
    Nobody's gonna slow me down
Oh no, I've got to keep on moving
Ain't nothing gonna break my stride
    I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh no, I've got to keep on moving"
