Amidst the chaos and noise of our busy home, the songs from this African Playground CD can usually be heard playing somewhere in the distance. We gave this CD to Elizabeth for Christmas, and it quickly became a family favorite. The girls particularly love the Kenyan song “Jamba Bwana” and sing along in their own variation of Swahili. Now, Elizabeth spent 19 months of her life hearing Swahili in her eastern Congolese orphanage… but Mary Grace? Well, at least she’s confident in her newfound second language. Of course she is.

I LOVE this! We heard the Jambo Bwana song all throughout our Kilimanjaro climb – and spent much of the hike singing it and Hakuna Matata. I just sent the video of MG singing to the girls I climbed with!
Love Y’all! 🙂
And, Katie, I love the fact that I have a friend who sang the Jambo Bwana song WHILE CLIMBING KILIMANJARO. Have I ever told you how much cooler you are than me?
