I cannot tell you how excited I am that I was able to drive only 38 minutes this morning to see my fabulous friend Katie in her beautiful new apartment in Durham! She’ll be starting in the Duke MBA program this fall and has won huge brownie points from my husband for her choice in schools. Welcome to RDU, Katie!!! (And sorry for the goldfish crackers that are now smushed into your carpet…)Equally exciting is the fact that my other friend Katie- who has been my friend for the past 15 years!- has also made the oh-so-wise choice to relocate to the great state of North Carolina, also to get her MBA at Wake Forest. My friends are so stinkin’ smart.I’m really liking this trend of friends moving closer to me, and I fully encourage all other individuals to pack your bags and get on down here fast for several reasons:
1. The beaches are better in NC than in VA. Sorry, Virginia Beach friends, but you know it’s true.
2. Two words: College. Basketball.
3. I am here. Where would you rather be?? 🙂

P.S. Sorry for the pics, girls, but the “oldies but goodies” make me smile the most!
