The week before I headed back to Congo was packed with Christmas preps, including the much anticipated yearly trip to Santa. Pleasantries were exchanged, and the kids’ requests were made. Carson was predictable and asked for Legos (the Boba Fett ship to be precise. and yes, I had to google the spelling of that name, as my Star Wars knowledge remains pitifully scarce.). Aaaand Mary Grace asked for “gummy bears, gummy worms, and a teeny tiny bear”. Huh?! So, Santa just so happened to have already stowed away a huge doll house for the girl, and all she wants are dollar store finds? Typical.
