I really want to do a better job of keeping up with the mundane on here.  With the “boring” day-to-day moments of our lives.  Because I want to remember.

IMG_6161I want to remember moments like today when Carson came home from school with his mind set on powering through the next three weeks of homework.  Just because he could.  And so he did.  He sat outside for an hour and half diligently working on one assignment after the next and one book after another, knocking it all out.  He later mentioned that finishing all of his homework was the best part of his day.  I mean, I have no idea where he gets it from or anything…

IMG_6126Speaking of school, last Friday was “culture day” in kindergarten.  Carson’s school has a focus on international studies, so they take events like this seriously.  Though let’s be real here- any time a group project is assigned to five and six year olds, we all know who does the lion’s share of the work.  I think they should have just called it as it is: a parent group project.

Really, it was a super cute morning of presentations and singing and feasting and looking flippin adorable in my friends’ Mexican attire.

I mean, really.  The poncho?  It kills me.  But not to be outdone…
