I thought she was quietly resting.

Famous last words for sure.  Because not only was she not resting, but she was leaving her artistic mark (ahem) on every single piece of furniture (and every pair of her heels. because, of course.) in her room.

Oh and these pictures?  They hardly even scratch the surface of what was left behind.

The real kicker came as I stood there stunned, stammering to come up with an appropriate response other than the obvious “WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??”  Apparently shocked at my reaction and obviously proud of her work, Mary Grace cast me an incredulous look and asked,

“You are ACCUSING ME of being a beautiful artist?”

Sometimes in motherhood you just gotta laugh so you don’t cry.
